Two Quick Tips to Make Your Brand Trustworthy

Updated: Aug 3, 2020

The days of distant, cold-hearted marketing are gone. Marketing isn't just about conveying information; you need to connect with your audience and really make them trust you!

The key to connecting with your audience is being human. Get rid of the pristine, cleaned-up image and don't be afraid to show humanity - your sales are sure to boost as people connect with your brand. People are far more likely to trust a brand that seems "real" and trustworthy. Here are some ways you can humanize your brand.

1. Show Your Humanity

As I said before, it's important to not be afraid to throw aside your image for a minute to show the inner workings of your business. Pictures of the whole team; short videos of team members cracking jokes; workers taste-testing products - don't be afraid to get silly! Restaurants, boutiques, hair salons and other "fun" businesses are sure to really benefit from this tactic.

The size of the business doesn't matter, either. Whether you're a one-person show or a business of 5,000 employees. All businesses run with people, so you should show your clients who those people are.

2. Tell a Story

Another way you can humanize your brand is by telling a story. Whether it's a heartfelt testimonial from a client or the difficult life story of your CEO, telling a story shows that your brand understands people and has empathy.

Understanding people is something that people appreciate from any business, but this is especially important when it comes to businesses offering any kind of care service, such as insurance or healthcare. A marketing campaign centered on people and empathy for them will always appeal to viewers.

Hopefully these two quick tips will help you get some ideas for your business' next marketing campaign. But if you're still struggling to put together a solid campaign, schedule a consultation with me! I can help put together your campaign, handle all the writing, or even manage your social media.
